Interesting and rare Hungarian pocket watch.
Diameter is 57 mm, height without bow is 67 mm.
Watch is signed by Johann Hillrich in Pest (Hungary capital).
Jurgen Abeler in his "Meister der Uhrmacherkunst" mentions Johann Hillrich in Pest, author of golden pocket watch, about 1810.
The watch is quite technically interesting. It's equipped with digital jumping hours, combined with full plate movement with cylinder escapement (while most of watches of this time was still verge ones).
Escapement is quite remarkable.
The escapement wheel features only 10 teeth (while early cylinder watches had typically 13, later ones - 15 teeth). The balance wheel is oversized, and this make it beet quite slowly - only two times per second.
The watch features start / stop button - obviously, this watch the measurement watch, most likely the doctor's one.
This watch was offering on Antiquorum's sale back in 1992, with estimate 3500-4000 CHF.
