Beautiful quarter repeater in 18k gold case.
Diameter is 50mm, height without bow is 64mm, weight is 116 grams.

Watch is a high grade piece.
It's finished with Geneve stripes and pearlage polishing.
Movement is fully jewelled, up to the hammers and features wolf-tooth winding wheels of combined matt and mirror polishing. All escapement axes feature counterpivots.
The wheels of both trains are made of rose gold.
Back and front cover bears MF hallmark for Meylan Freres, Brassus, which allows to attribute watch as L. Audemars production
Meylan Freres factory was incorporated in Louis Audemars production chain, and Mr. Zantke identifies MF hallmark as specific sign of Audemars watches.
The very similar watch based on same ebauche movement, is shown in the book by H. Zantke "Louis Audemars, his life and work", ill. 60.
Case / movement number 17864 is also in line with Audemars production of late 1870 / early 1880.
Overall built quality is also very in Aidemars style, with its nickel movement and golden wheels.
Dust cover is signed by Parisian retailer.

The watch appears to be in good condition.
Movement is in running condition, quarter repeating functions as it should.
Case is quality one, metal is thick and it has just a normal period wear.
Dial is in good condition without visible defects.
