Nice and rare pocket chronometer in silver case, Switzerland, circa 1870.
Diameter is 52mm.
Movement is equipped with fusee with chain, for balancing of mainspring power - feature present in best quality chronometers.
The escapement is finished to high grade, with helical hairspring, thick chronometer balance wheel with golden screws, golden counterpivots for escapement wheels.
Typically for Swiss chronometers, escapement is pivoted detent one.
Dial is signed by J. Nardini Locle. Most likely it's production of James Nardin, registered in Locle in 1870 - he was cousin of Ulysse Nardin and chronometers maker.
Condition
The watch appears to be in good condition.
Movement is functions as it should.
Dial seems to be flawless.
Case has common period wear without significant flaws.
Overall very nice condition.
