Good pocket watch from first half of XIX century.
Diameter is 49mm, weight is 87 grams.
The watch is equipped with stoppable centre second and lever escapement with parachute and thermal compensation.
This type of construction requires independent gears train with it's own barrel to drive centre seconds hand.

The English engraving on dust cover, as well as F/S on balance bridge, the shape of pendant, golden dial - typical signs of watch designated to British market.
The dust cover is signed by Henry Courvoisier & Co in Locle, with description of watch technical selling points.
Back cover features skilfully made engraving with Charity allegory.
