Beautiful and big silver verge oignon watch from 1710s.
Diameter is 54mm, height without bow is 69 mm
Made in the style of Louis XIV, circa 1710s.
Movement is truly beautiful, true Baroque spirit.
It features silver balance bridge, designed in the manner of Bourdon.
The regulator is surrounded with silver pierced and engraved pieces.
The nice enamel dial is painted with attention to dials, with gold accents.
The silver case is pierced and decorated with embossed medallions and engraving.
The primitive repeating mechanism is striking with single hammer to the silver bell.
Condition
Watch appears to be in good condition.
The dial has small reparation to the edge at IIII hours.
Please note that dial is turned a little clockwise.
The movement functions in any position, though I don't guarantee time keeping.
It strikes as it should.
Case is well preserved for its age with some wear of course.
