QUARTER REPEATING & DOUBLE SIDED CALENDAR 18k Gold Antique Pocket Watch

Quarter repeating double-sided watch with full calendar.
It comes in solid 18k gold hunter case.
Diameter is 51mm. Weight is 123 grams.

Watch features nicely engraved case with a floral ornament, Spanish calendar, silver dial - nice example of the production for South American market.

The calendar is produced according the Swiss patent 24914 by Henry Jacot-Burmann, registered in 1903.

Nice 1/4 repeating nickel-plated repeating movement is based on design, patented by Alfred Lugrin (Swiss patent 225) from 1880s.



Condition
The movement is in running condition.
Repetition functions correctly, but one gong occasionally touches winding stem and sounds a little dull.


The bezel of a calendar bears a trace of hard soldering.
Case is in very good condition, engraving is beautifully preserved.
Overall nice condition.

Double-sided calendar watches with repetition are rare, and this one has rather distinctive appearance with it's silver dial. Overall good watch with rare complication set.
