Beautiful pair cased verge fusee watch.
Diameter of outer case is 57mm, thickness is 50mm, weight is 134 grams.
Watch is signed by Johann Caspar Brosy in Gross Glogau.
Jurgen Abeler lists Johann Caspar Brosy in Gross Glogau, about 1700. Gross Glogau is now Glogow, city in Silesia area, now Western Poland. During XVII-XVIII centuries this city was under Swedish, Austrian and Prussian rules.
Verge movement features tulip pillars, elaborated watch cock with symmetrical decoration and D-shaped leg - good example of 1700s craftsmanship.
Outer case is decorated with a beautiful enamel miniature in the taste of late XVII century. It depicts young enjoying her small cup of coffee - nice and rare subject.
Condition
Miniature is in nice condition, it appears to be free from reparations or visible defects, just common surface scratches.
The case is generally fine, pendant is slightly bent.
The movement is in running condition. The hinge of the movement was once replaced.
Silver champleve dial is slightly bent and has minor defects, please look photos.
