Beautiful pocket quarter repeating verge watch in silver case.
The watch features Jaquemarts automatons - moving figures in Greco-Roman style with symbols of love and fertility, striking to the bells.
Diameter is 55mm, height without bow is 68mm.
Dust cover is signed by Esquivillon et Deschoudens.
Esquivillon et Deschoudens
According “Dictionnaire des Horlogers Genevois” by O. Patrizzi, brothers Gedeon, Jean François and Joseph was formed and association with Jacques Dechoudens in 1776 in Geneva.
Company produced high quality watches with enamel decoration, complicated watches, automates.
Watch comes with key.
Condition
Cosmetically the watch is in good condition.
Dial with Jacquemarts figures is in good condition.
Case has common minor wear, the front cover opens somewhat easy, but generally ok.
Full plate verge fusee movement is in working condition, though I don't guarantee time keeping.
The repeating and Jacquemarts works as it should.
