Very nice Louis XIV oignon watch. France, circa 1700s.
Diameter is 57 mm, thickness is 35mm.
Beautiful gilt dial with porcelain cartouches.
Solid silver balance bridge, decorated with animal and floral ornament, typically for French Louis XIV oignon watches.
The case is decorated with arabesques.
Movement is signed by Etienne Cormasson, who became Mâitre in 1722.
Condition
Condition is quite nice.
Couple cartouches bears traces of reparations, otherwise the dial is in good condition.
Movement is running in every position, though I don't guarantee time keeping.
The brass case is in ok condition, with normal period wear.
