Very similar musical watch has been sold by Dr. Crott auction in November of 2023 for 7200 euros + buyers premium (Auction 109, lot 314).
Mr. Stefan Muser, expert of Dr. Crott writes concerning this watch following: Almost certainly the work of the exceptional Geneva watchmaker Henry Capt, this charming and highly complex watch has several unusual features: The musical movement is housed between the plates with a pinned barrel instead of the usual &qout;sur plateau&qout; type.
Henry Capt (1773-1841) was an independent watchmaker who specialised in watches with additional functions such as musical watches and automatons; Capt was one of the first in Geneva to use barrels and crowns in his automatons.
Watch comes in 18k gold case, hallmarked with French Empire provincial hallmarks (under Empire was also used in Italy, Belgium etc..)
