Beautiful quarter repeating in 18k gold case.
It's quite big, but rather thin, diameter is 59mm, weight is hefty 130 grams.
The watch is quipped with rare movement of unusual design with visible repeating train and early cylinder escapement.
Movement and dial are curiously signed by Bovet in Berlin.
Jurgen Abeler in "Meister der Uhrmacherkunst" mentions Henri Bovet in Berlin about 1800, probably comes from the Neuenburg family.
Condition
The movement is in running condition, requires some cleaning. Time keeping is not tested.
The repeating functions as it should, because of the case size gongs are especially louds.
Dial appears to be in good condition.
Some wear to the case, minor dents.
Nice Breguet hands, mineral crystal.
