Rare and beautiful pocket watch in golden case.
Diameter is 51mm, weight is 71 grams.
Watch is signed by Guex a Paris.

In 1828 associated with Liodet and installed at Rue de Rhone in Geneve.
Watch is made in typical luxury Geneve style of early XIX - slim and quite large. Back cover is decorated with miniature in grisaille technique, depicting Minerva protecting Telemachus from shafts of Love. This subject came from the book "The Adventures of Telemachus" by Fenelon, published about 1699. It symbolise wisdom (Minerva) that should protect Youth from dangerous arrows of Love.
Probably made after etchings of Simon Fokke.
Painting is made over beautiful blue translucent enamel, popular in Geneva and Paris in late XVIII / early XIX centuries.
The enamel miniature is surrounded with two rows of half-pearls, as well as a bezel.
Watch is equipped with a nice verge movement.
Condition
The watch appears to be in good condition.
The enamel is beautifully preserved with very minor surface scratches, without any chips or repairs.
Dial has a repaired chip near the winding hole.
Classical full plate movement with verge escapement is in running condition, however time keeping isn't tested.
The balance bridge has minor traces of repair.
Overall beautiful and rare watch, in excellent condition.
