Watch equipped with self-starting or activated on demand musical box and quarter-hour repetition.

Very similar watch is shown in the book "History of the Musical Box and of Mechanical Music" by A. Chapuis.
Philippe Samuel Meylan met Isaac Daniel Piguet and formed the partnership with him; they worked in Geneva under the name “Piguet & Meylan” from 1811 to 1828. The company became famous for its pocket watches with special functions; they created automatons with man and animal shapes and intricate musical mechanisms as well as musical and skeleton watches.
Watch comes in 18k gold case, hallmarked with PM (should be for Piguet & Meylan).
Dust cover is gilt metal.

Movement is in good condition.
Watch functions, time keeping is not tested, movement may benefit from some cleaning.
Repetition works as it should.
When auto-play is enabled, music starts every hour, music-on-demand functions equally correctly.
Solid 18k gold case is in good condition.
White enamel dial has minor defects to the edges, otherwise fine.
