REPEATING GOLD & CHAMPLEVE ENAMEL Verge Fusee Antique Pocket Watch from middle of XVIII c.

Beautiful verge fusee pocket watch from middle of XVIII century.
Diameter is 46mm, weight of the watch is about 106 grams.

The watch is beautiful piece of high quality.
Dial and movement is signed by Couratin in Paris and numbered.

Golden case is decorated by polychrome enamel with "fleurs à relief" decor in rare "en pâte" technique. Bezel is equally decorated with white and blue flower enamel.
Case is a thick one, it bears Royal French hallmarks for 18k or better gold.

Movement is equally a good one with typical features for 1740-1750s.
It's equipped with quarter dumb repeater.
Movement features rather big balance bridge with nice endstone, barrel with endless screw stopwork, steel balance in English manner, round pillars - overall typical features of mid-XVIII production.
Escapement wheel has fine tuning in French manner for front pivot, but only the brass plug in British style for back pivot.



Condition
The watch appears to be in quite good running condition, movement is nice and clean and runs till the end of the chain. However, I don't guarantee time keeping.
Repeating works as it should.

Cosmetically watch is in quite nice condition.
Enamel has some surface scratches and very minor imperfections.
Dial seems to be in good condition with some common chips near winding hole and few faint hairlines.
Mineral glass, later minute hand hands.

Nice and rare watch in good condition.
